Color Challenge

Authentique has a color challenge for October.  It's a lovely combo, who could resist?

Using my new Unity/Authentique stamps, I made a universal card.  A little twine & vellum was all it needed, since the paper rocks!

The bonus on this card is the sweet little bird inside.

Wart Tonic

I saved this card for my sister, trying to be funny.  Now that she's seen it, I can post the pic!

The spider web is embossed silver on vellum.  I've been using the scraps of that page for a while, it adds a nice shine.  If I saw it again, I'd buy another sheet!  The paper and label is Echo Park.

Banner Card

Just a "quickie" today!

Echo Park banner stickers....

The "BOO" and bird stickers are a mystery brand, since they were in my stash on a clear sheet.

Pink. Pink. Pink

This post is of an entry for the unique All Things Unity's BINGO challenge.

I chose to use the bottom row's elements.  They are hard to see, but I think it's punches, glitter, brads & a free space.  My free element was ric-rac!

Can you believe that I made the patterned background?  It looks just like printed paper! That's a whole lotta pink goin' on!  I used a "fast feature" purchase from Unity Stamp Company's Facebook page called You + Me = Bliss.  The sentiment is off an Itty Bitty set named Enjoy This Day (obviously).

I used a punched out glitter scalloped square.  Then added some punched flowers, one with sanded edges.  They all were secured on with a brad.

Fall Crafts

The photos on this layout turned out so festive with pumpkins in the background, they had to be scrapped!

I'm playing along with the BasicGrey Challenges blog. The theme is Halloween/Fall/Auntumn. This layout has some of the Oxford paper collection.

The stars & scissors are chipboard.  I made the rippled paper down the center with a bowtie accent.

Haunted House Hanging

This haunting image was ripped from a thrift store book.  I slapped it on a giant paper die cut, inked the edges, strung some ribbon & added a flower.  Aunthentique's Glowing collection has some great distressed papers.

The tiny tag was stamped with Unity's Bones About You.  The fancy chipboard is Tattered Angels.

Chicken Wire & Wood

I loved making this Ippity stamped card with some cool scraps that have chicken wire & wood grain patterns.  Missing a challenge by only hours, I decided to link this creation up at Unity Opportunity.

Here is the sketch for my TOO late creation.....

This Ippity stamp is called You Deserve... The pink sticker letters are Cosmo Cricket.

Aspiring to be Inspiring

I love Webster's Pages "InspireMe" online community.  The gallery is loaded with layouts from the design team and consumer members alike.  I aspire to be inspiring to others there.

The October challenge is to use their "All About Me" line of paper.  So, I chose to scrap my youngest boy having a grand time with his dad.  He really thought he was something that day!

The bottom reads "Marshal loved shooting bow, just like dad!  Not bad for a 3 year old!!!"

Rockin' Halloween

Last year, I had the idea of finding smooth rocks & stamping some spooky images on them.  It's been a hit with our visitors, so I thought you'd enjoy a look.

The mummy is my favorite!

The stamps are Close To My Heart.  Stazon ink works best, since it's meant for various surfaces. For a few more rock examples, head over to my sister's blog.

At the very last minute, I'm trying a BoBunny card challenge.  It turned out loaded with sparkle, because my die-cut sentiment was hard to read!

This card opens in a different fashion.  The brown paper seam is the front top edge.

I must have used half a bottle of stickles, but the sparkle words look so darn pretty!

Fall + Foxes= Cute!

Hello Everyone.  I just want to share possibly the CUTEST fall paper line ever.  It's Imaginisce's Happy Harvest.  I snatched a few sheets of paper & die-cuts up from my local store to try this month's sketch Challenge.  It was tweaked a little by adding another photo.  I always prefer to have at least 2 photos on a page.

I finally broke out my Paper Lace Cricut cartridge.  Those cardstock cuttings help tone down the busy paper background.  It's hard to tell, but the words and stripes are embossed.  My attempts at photographing that gloss failed.

The die-cut set included such cute critters & such, I almost couldn't choose!  The foxes won, but I'm certain any from the kit would have been great.

I hand cut the little fox out of some paper scraps that I took from behind my giant Paper Lace circle!

Keep these papers in mind for some of YOUR fall layouts!

Halloween Card #7

Shwooh.  We made it, all seven days.  Here is the grand finale.....a cute one:

It's Close To My Heart sticker monsters & great patterned paper.  The little guys has scallops cut around them with scissors.  I drew on the fake stitches & stickled the star sticker.  The tone on tone sentiment is subtle.

Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoyed the Halloween card marathon!

Halloween Card #6

Are you sick of Halloween card week yet?  I hope not.  Here's another:

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....

That is last years Close To My Heart paper kit.  It's so cute.  The pumpkins are some stickers from Doodlebug.  The edge punch is EK Success.  The sentiment is Close To My Heart.

Halloween Card #5

We are 5 cards into the week.  I hope your getting tidbits of inspiration. Here is a crisp simple card.  Look closely for the skulls in the paper!

This is more of a feminine Halloween card.  I love using lime green & purple.

Halloween Card #4

This card uses stamps in layers.  I did background bones to make the poison symbol.  Then a punched circle skull covered the X.  I think this would make a cute pirate theme on a scrapbook page!

I dug out some old paper from my scraps stash.  Cards are a great way to use that stuff up.

Halloween Card #3

This one was the most fun to make.  My hanging spider technique is simple.  Stamp on the spiders here & there.  The take a ruler & a black gel pen.   Connect the spider to the top edge with one long smooth straight edge line.  Wa~la.  You have spooky dangling spiders

Can yo tell this one opens in the middle?  The large circle overlaps the opening.  Thanks for look.  Come back tomorrow for a Skeleton card.

Halloween Card #2

Another ghoulish card, only in darker tones!

Crooked & not perfect, I know.  There is no good way to show you that the dark black is like patent & very shiny.  This card involved a square punch & two sizes of circle punches.  The stamp again is Unity's Bones About Halloween.

Halloween Card #1

This week, I'm showing one Halloween card each day.  So be ready for some ~spooky~ inspiration. To start off, here is a bat card.

This card uses all Unity stamps from a set called Bones About Halloween.  The cardstock is Close To My Heart.  Those awesome little glitter dots are called Dress It Up.

Dream Big.

Using the Webster's Pages line called Country Estate, I made a layout of my sleeping toddler.

The Itty Bitty stamp set is a co-branded rubber cling from Unity & W.P.  How perfect is the saying?

I hand cut the butterflies out in three stamped colors & added some pearls and a bold cardstock background.
